Seung-Chul Kang is currently committed to the development of 3D printing and VR industries at 3D Fusion Industry Association (3DFIA), a division the Korea Electronics Association (KEA) dedicated to the convergence of 3D industries.

 He earned M.Eng. in Elecronics Engineering from Pusan National University in 2000, where he was engaged in the development of 3D display and 3D image processing technologies. Since 2008, he has served as a planner for the Korean government policies, such as “Strategic Technology Roadmap for Digital Convergence” and “Integrated Technology Blueprint for the Knowledge Economy,” and participated in creating a 3D printing industry development strategy, the 3D Printing Industry Promotion Act, a 3D printing industry promotion framework a 3D printing technology development roadmap for the government.

 Currently, he is a coordinator for the Korea mirror committee of ISO/TC 261 (Additive Manufacturing) setting the international standard for 3D printing and the 3D Printing Sector Council responsible for fostering 3D printing experts.
